  Langley, BC, Canada: Curlew Lake Resources Inc. (CWQ-TSX-V)(CWLXF.PK-Pink Sheets) is pleased to report that drilling operations are complete on the Propel Minard Frobisher horizontal oil well in the Minard area of S.E. Saskatchewan. Drilling operations were completed on time and budget. Completion operations have commenced and early results are encouraging enough to begin construction of a single well battery and installation of artificial lift on the well bore. Stabilized production rates should be available early in the New Year.

The operator of the well, Propel Energy Corp. of Calgary, expects the well to be on-line prior to the holiday season and has engaged marketing expertise to direct the production to the highest netback receipt points on the distribution system. Curlew Lake has earned a 25 percent working interest in the well.

Curlew Lake also reports the company has committed to participate in a second well offsetting our producing well in the Fosterton area of Saskatchewan. Drilling funds have been advanced to the operator. The Company will have a 15 percent working interest in the well before and after payout. The Company will update shareholders when drilling has commenced
